#NewMusicFriday

Posted by Trip Willingham on

Our favorite day of the week is here! And this weekend has ushered in some BANGERS of new albums and we couldn't be more stoked. So without any further adieu, let's mosh right in.

The much anticipated Thy Art Is Murder released their fourth full-length record, Dear Desolation. CJ McMahon is back and better than ever bringing back his vicious growls. The guitars on this record are some of my favorite and prepare for some ultimate fight riffs in songs like, Puppet Master and Slaves Beyond Death. Although I've only had the chance to listen to the new album from front to back once, I give "Dear Desolation" a solid 8 out of 10. We can't wait to hit the pit when these guys come to town. Check out the music video for my favorite track of the new record

Next on the list for all the pop-punk fans out there: The Peace and the Panic by Neck Deep. I (@_its_trip) had the opportunity to spend some time with my favorite English mates this summer on the Vans Warped Tour. I've been a big Neck Deep fan for quite some time now, and their latest album did not disappoint. If I could describe this album compared to the previous two in a word, it would be "mature." Neck Deep has definitely settled into their own and have refined their sound without neglecting their pop-punk roots. This is one of very few albums that I can listen to start from finish and truly enjoy every track on here. Enjoy the music video, In Bloom

Lastly, Brand New surprised lots of people after they announced what could be their final album. I know Brand New isn't a mosh band, but after a band hasn't put out a record in eight years, it become worth mentioning. Admittedly, after The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, I wasn't the biggest fan of Brand New, but Science Fiction has brought back a lot of the good that I enjoyed from the band from all their previous releases.
